The oxide is lame (green)
The oxide of chrome is an inorganic pigment (solid substance) which finds broad application as a pigment for paints, primers and enamels. Besides, this pigment is used in production of typographical and art paints. The oxide of chrome differs in the good covering ability and resistance to impact of a sunlight, high temperatures, the atmospheric phenomena and aggressive gases. The oxide is lame, as well as any other synthetic pigment, is insoluble in water, solvents and filming agents.
The pigmentary oxide of chrome gives to paints and other emulsions olive-green color with various shades yellow and blue. This or that shade is received by addition in an oxide of the bases (sodium hydroxide) or acids (a carbonate of sodium, boric acid). Maybe will be applied in paint and varnish industry to production of enamels and paints; in production of construction materials as a pigment; the vmashinostroitelny industry as abrasive materials, in production of color concrete and plaster products.
